Mipa Anti Corrosion Rust Sealer (Rostversiegelung) converts moisture within rust layers into carbon dioxide, effectively eliminating the cause of oxidation. It cures and seals the substrate. Prior to application, any loose rust should be removed by rough sanding. Mipa Rust Sealer offers outstanding penetration capability, even in thick rust layers, while also preventing zinc corrosion. Shortly after use, the rust layers are sealed and can be coated with Mipa 1K or 2K primers or Mipa body filler. It adheres effectively to surfaces made of iron, steel, aluminum, and zinc.
- Drying time at 20°C: Dust dry in 10 - 15mins. Recoatable in 30 - 60mins.
- Storage: at least 1 year in unopened original container
- VOC Regulation: EU limit value for this product (category B/e): 840 g/l. This product contains max. 756 g/l of VOC.
- Processing conditions: from +10 °C and up to 80 % relative humidity. Ensure adequate air ventilation.
- Processing instructions: Apply Mipa Rostversiegelung by brush on the substrate. Before applying remove loose rust, oil, grease and dirt as well as underfilm corrosion. Mipa Rostveriegelung reacts with moisture. Close can immediately after use. Smaller quantities should be first taken out of the can and then be applied.
