Miparox Anti-Rust Emulsion 1 Litre (Single)

Miparox is an anti-corrosion protection emulsion for the direct application on rusted metallic substrates. It builds an organic metal protection coat which acts as rust stabiliser and preserves the rusted substrate. Helps to prevent the ongoing build up of rust.

Specification

• Binder base: special synthetic dispersion
• Colour availability: grey
• Viscosity: 20 - 30 s 4 mm DIN
• Storage: At least 2 years, if the tightly closed original packages are kept dry, protected against frost. Storage temperature: from +5°C till maximum +30°C.
• VOC content : EU limiting value for the product (cat. A/i): 140 g/l (2007)/ 140 g/l (2010). This product contains max. 42 g/l VOC [ 0.35 lbs/gal]

Application

• Processing conditions: Do not apply below +10°C and more than +80% relative air humidity
• Application methods: Rolling, brushing, dipping or spraying
• If rolling, brushing or dipping: Apply undiluted
• Spraying (air): Viscosity: 30 s 4 mm DIN; Nozzle: 0.8 - 1.8 mm; Pressure: 3 - 5 bar; Spraying operations: 1 - 2
• Dilution : ready for use, if necessary add Mipa VE-Wasser
• Drying times : dust dry after 45 minutes, recoatable after 24 hours
• Recommendation for end use: - remove loose rust and rusted paint coats either with sanding paper or steel brush. - wash with water to remove all dirt and dust - apply Miparox on the cleaned substrate, free of oil and grease - a black-violet protective layer will be formed - if heavily rusted areas are involved, the application of a second coat with Miparox is recommended apply the second coat before the first coat is dried. The penetration in the substrate is therefore much facilitated.
